Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Because its downtown is modest and its land is primarily farmland, vineyards, and ranches, Rescue’s commercial offerings are understandably meager. The exception that proves that rule is Rescue Raceway, a track for racing RC cars. Over in Shingle Springs, satisfy your sweet tooth at Crepe Town Cafe & Grill, which offers a Croatian wine- and gastro-tour on top of the namesake crepes. In Cameron Park, the Pick-It Fence is very much in vogue: it’s a vintage market comprising the best of several unique vendors’ offerings. For the unclaimed genre, try the ever-active re:Visions for items to decorate your home.

Managed by the California Department of Fish and Game, one of the purposes of this land area is to protect rare plants with names like Stebbins’ morning glory and El Dorado bedstraw.
